Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT projects within the state enterprise environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with state security protocols, including data privacy regulations and cybersecurity standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vendors and agency stakeholders, to define technical requirements.
- Conduct system performance analysis and troubleshoot high-level technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior analysts to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT analysis, systems engineering, or project management.
- Experience working within state or federal government environments is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and ITIL framework.
- Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Texas Agency Badging credential.
