Responsibilities
- System Administration & Optimization: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliability of local, network, and server hardware and software systems.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security measures to protect the organization's data and infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Project Management: Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints and government regulations.
- User Support & Training: Provide advanced technical support to government staff and citizens, conducting training sessions to improve digital literacy and system adoption.
- Data Management: Analyze system data to identify trends and areas for improvement, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure optimal service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or software development within the public or private sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#), SQL database management, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or PMP certification is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal and state data privacy laws and government IT compliance standards.
