Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage complex IT infrastructure projects to support City operations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and government assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and recommend strategic solutions.
- Train junior staff and provide technical guidance on best practices and emerging technologies.
- Conduct regular audits of software and hardware systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or systems analysis.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and risk management is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced government environment.
- Valid California Driver's License may be required for site visits.
