Job Summary
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges and ensure data integrity across all state departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local and wide-area networks, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot server infrastructure and virtualization environments.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive state data and comply with regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users across various departments.
- Perform regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to manage hardware lifecycle and software licenses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Experience with SQL databases and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and pass a background investigation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
