Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust IT solutions to support state agency objectives and improve operational efficiency.
- Perform advanced system administration, network configuration, and security monitoring to maintain 99.9% system uptime.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for complex technical issues and implement sustainable resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and manage project lifecycles.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including data privacy, security, and accessibility standards.
- Mentor junior staff members and conduct training sessions on best practices and new technologies.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for future IT challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, network administration, or database management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Experience with database management systems, specifically SQL Server or Oracle.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License.
