Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network architectures to support citywide operations.
- Oversee the security protocols and data integrity measures to safeguard sensitive government information.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and incident response for critical hardware and software failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance on best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or PMP is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with federal and state government IT standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) is a plus.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
