Responsibilities
- Lead System Architecture: Design, implement, and oversee complex IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they align with city standards and security protocols.
- Cybersecurity Leadership: Spearhead the development and execution of cybersecurity strategies to protect sensitive city data and infrastructure from evolving threats.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
- Technical Audits: Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify vulnerabilities and optimize system functionality.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor junior staff and technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure all technical operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations and internal governance policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in information technology, systems analysis, or software development.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure), programming languages (Python/Java), and database management systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
