Responsibilities
- Lead System Architecture: Design and oversee the deployment of scalable IT solutions, ensuring alignment with state security standards and compliance regulations.
- Project Management: Manage complex IT projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive state data and infrastructure against evolving cyber threats.
- System Optimization: Analyze system performance and lead initiatives to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Talent Development: Mentor junior staff and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in software engineering, systems analysis, or IT project management.
- Certifications: Active certification in PMP, ITIL, or CISSP is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), programming languages (Python/Java), and database management systems.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- State Service: Demonstrated experience working within government or public sector environments is a plus.
