Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level IT infrastructure and cloud solutions for city departments.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including FISMA and HIPAA.
- Analyze complex data sets to provide actionable insights for city planning and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate new technologies.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff and non-technical department heads.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of hardware and software assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT management, systems engineering, or cybersecurity.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
- Experience working within a government or public sector environment is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
