Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure, including cloud services and on-premise systems.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of large-scale IT projects and system upgrades.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and municipal cybersecurity standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to identify technical requirements and deliver scalable business solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to ensure 99.9% uptime and optimal security.
- Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware and software procurement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT project management or systems architecture.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, PMP, or AWS Solutions Architect is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in network security protocols, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Must be a US citizen or possess permanent resident status eligible for clearance.
- Ability to obtain a NYC Government Security Clearance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
