Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and security of server infrastructure, including virtualization and cloud environments.
- System Administration: Perform daily system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Windows and Linux servers.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure adherence to state and federal cybersecurity standards.
- Project Leadership: Lead technical projects from inception to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Database Support: Assist in the management and optimization of relational databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support and guidance to internal staff and external agencies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar security certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell, Active Directory, SQL, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Government Experience: Prior experience working within a state or federal government environment is a significant plus.
