Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network infrastructure to support municipal operations.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and ensure strict compliance with state and federal data protection standards.
- Lead technical projects from inception to completion, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the digital literacy of city staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management or a related role.
- Certification such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco CCNP is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and cloud-based technologies (Azure/AWS).
- Proven experience in project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
