Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-level software applications and IT systems.
- Analyze complex technical problems and develop scalable solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Conduct rigorous system testing, debugging, and code reviews to maintain the highest standards of quality assurance.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal (FISMA) and state security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing advanced technical guidance and training to junior developers and IT staff.
- Manage project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with agency partners to align IT strategies with broader state business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems analysis, software development, or database administration.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, Python, C#, or .NET) and frameworks.
- Strong expertise in database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle) and data modeling.
- Demonstrated experience in cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) and IT infrastructure management.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on security and optimization.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
