Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and network architectures for the City.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive municipal data and infrastructure.
- Lead technical projects from conception through deployment, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and optimize operational workflows.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or cybersecurity.
- Valid Professional Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCNP) are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a valid Texas Driver's License (if applicable to role).
