Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the state’s network infrastructure and hardware systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local IT security policies and regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service level agreements to ensure optimal system performance.
- Lead incident response teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical outages efficiently.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior IT staff and departmental stakeholders.
- Plan and execute system upgrades and migration projects with minimal disruption to services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management or network administration.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP are strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, cloud computing platforms, and enterprise hardware.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure government or enterprise environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
