Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and software solutions for state agencies.
- Conduct thorough requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies and Waterfall frameworks.
- Ensure system integrity, data security, and compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., FISMA).
- Perform root cause analysis for system failures and implement preventative measures to enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and subject matter experts.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior analysts and junior developers within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or a related technical role.
- Proven experience with SQL for database management and Java or Python programming.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a State of Illinois Security Clearance.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
