Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and security of server infrastructure, virtualization environments, and cloud platforms.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to protect sensitive citizen data against cyber threats.
- Lead the planning and execution of disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity during critical incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate cutting-edge software solutions.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and mentorship to junior IT staff within the department.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize efficiency and uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience in a technical role).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CISSP are strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
