Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise network architectures and cloud environments.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols, conduct risk assessments, and manage incident response strategies.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to junior IT staff members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations regarding data privacy and security (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party technical integrations.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system maintenance and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or cloud services.
- Active certification in CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent professional credentials.
- Strong knowledge of network security best practices, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects in a fast-paced government environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- NC residency requirement must be met.
