Role Overview:
In this role, you will leverage your extensive technical expertise to oversee system implementations, provide advanced technical support, and lead strategic IT initiatives. You will work closely with department heads to align technology solutions with organizational goals, ensuring seamless operations for thousands of county employees and residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure and server environments.
- Conduct system audits and security assessments to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and drive digital transformation.
- Mentor junior staff and conduct training sessions on new technologies and best practices.
- Document technical processes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT project management, systems analysis, or network engineering.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Deep understanding of government compliance standards (FISMA, HIPAA, NIST).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
