Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical system specifications and architectural designs.
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions to enhance state agency operations and efficiency.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, developers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality IT projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and support staff.
- Document system architecture, workflows, and technical processes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
- Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or patches to maintain system stability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT consulting.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced government environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Arizona security clearance.
