Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows Server environments and Active Directory services.
- Design and implement robust network security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders and end-users across various state agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and document system upgrades and migrations.
- Analyze system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimization strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with state IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or network engineering.
- Valid professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a suitable background check and security clearance.
