Responsibilities
- Network Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and security of local and wide-area networks to ensure optimal performance.
- System Administration: Manage server environments, including Linux and Windows Server, ensuring high availability and uptime.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents.
- Project Leadership: Lead IT initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new technologies and software upgrades.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and guidance to junior staff and end-users across the department.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT operations adhere to state and federal regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware), and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure and provide timely solutions.
