Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the county's wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN).
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop and enforce IT security protocols to safeguard sensitive government data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and upgrade legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance analysis to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct technical training sessions for end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support or system administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or PMP is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between county facilities.
