Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure and firewalls to protect city assets.
- Monitor network traffic for security anomalies and respond to cybersecurity incidents immediately.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
- Manage and configure identity and access management (IAM) systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into new and existing IT projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration or cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
