Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced cybersecurity frameworks to protect federal information systems.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks.
- Oversee incident response protocols and coordinate with law enforcement during cyber security breaches.
- Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Develop and deliver technical training sessions for junior staff and government stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into daily operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is strongly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
- Proven experience with cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
