Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of federal IT infrastructure projects to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal standards, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST security protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to protect sensitive government data from cyber threats.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contract performance for third-party IT services.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior IT staff, providing technical guidance and professional development.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes, and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in federal IT environments.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CISM.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid architectures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with senior leadership and government officials.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a federal setting.
