Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex federal information systems and networks to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Compliance & Security: Enforce strict adherence to OMB Circular A-123, NIST security standards, and federal IT policies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support and coordinate closely with program managers to align IT solutions with business goals.
- Project Leadership: Lead IT initiatives, including software upgrades, hardware procurement, and system migrations, within budget and timeline constraints.
- Incident Management: Rapidly respond to and resolve system outages, cyber threats, and technical incidents using incident response protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and change management logs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in federal IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Clearance: Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background clearance.
- Certifications: Possession of one or more of the following is highly desirable: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Federal CIO Council certifications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, SQL databases, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
