Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of federal IT infrastructure and network systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security protocols, including FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff and junior contractors.
- Manage incident response and troubleshooting for critical systems to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute IT roadmaps aligned with agency goals.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures in accordance with federal record-keeping requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in network security tools, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
