Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure federal information systems in strict compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DoD security directives.
- Lead incident response and remediation efforts for complex cybersecurity threats targeting federal networks.
- Oversee the migration and modernization of legacy systems to secure, FedRAMP-compliant cloud environments.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff and contractors.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance required (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent years of experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in federal IT environments or national security systems.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, GSEC, CISM, or Cisco CCNP.
- Deep knowledge of DoD Instruction 8570.01-M (IAT Level III) and FedRAMP requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Windows/Linux server administration.
