Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and on-premise systems.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive federal data and ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for federal applications, hardware, and network connectivity issues.
- Conduct regular system audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans to maintain security compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate new technologies.
- Document technical processes, create operational procedures, and maintain accurate system logs for audit readiness.
- Train junior staff and provide mentorship on best practices for federal IT operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active Public Trust clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration, cybersecurity, or a related field within a government or federal contracting environment.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and administration.
- Strong working knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with federal stakeholders and documentation.
