Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the integrity, security, and performance of federal and state agency networks and servers.
- Oversee the deployment and configuration of hardware and software solutions to meet agency requirements.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with NIST and federal security standards.
- Provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting support to government stakeholders and end-users.
- Develop and document technical procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical architecture plans.
- Collaborate with project managers to deliver IT initiatives on time and within budget.
- Train junior staff and government personnel on new technologies and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal or state government IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, and DoD security requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Active Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
