Responsibilities
- System Administration & Support: Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain complex federal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and end-user devices to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols in strict adherence to Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) standards and agency policies.
- Technical Project Management: Lead IT initiatives from conception to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems.
- Incident Response: Rapidly diagnose and resolve technical incidents and outages, minimizing downtime and protecting sensitive data.
- User Training & Documentation: Develop comprehensive technical documentation and provide training to staff on new software and security best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; OR 4 years of specialized IT experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in federal or civilian IT systems administration and network management.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Federal IT policies, data privacy laws, and secure coding practices.
- Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
