Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee network operations, ensure data security, and lead technical initiatives. Key duties include:
- Design, implement, and maintain the City's enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex hardware and software issues across various departments.
- Manage cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular risk assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff members.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for stakeholders and auditors.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong background in information technology and public administration. Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Experience with government systems, compliance standards, and public sector IT infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
