Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex IT projects from conception through deployment, ensuring alignment with city goals.
- Oversee the maintenance and security of critical city-wide information systems and data networks.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and conduct performance evaluations for external technology partners.
- Conduct system audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT project management or systems analysis within the public sector.
- Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cybersecurity protocols.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance, compliance standards, and government procurement processes.
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
