Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT solutions for state agencies.
- Conduct system analysis, requirements gathering, and gap analysis to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state cybersecurity regulations and data privacy standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Mentor junior staff members and conduct code reviews to ensure quality standards.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary patches and updates to maintain uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information technology, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
