Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot critical technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade hardware and software systems efficiently.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and end-users.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical specifications accurately.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with state procurement regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Cisco networking, and Active Directory.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly preferred.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification is a major plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
