Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure systems, including network architecture and server environments.
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and conduct regular risk assessments to protect state data integrity.
- Lead and mentor junior IT staff, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to identify technical requirements and develop scalable solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure the successful delivery of IT projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure full compliance with state regulations and federal IT standards.
- Perform system troubleshooting and provide advanced technical support for mission-critical applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT system administration or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and incident response procedures is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check.
