Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex federal information systems and network infrastructure to support mission-critical operations.
- Implement and enforce rigorous cybersecurity protocols to ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and agency-specific security policies.
- Perform system administration duties including patch management, user provisioning, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate cloud-based solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and stakeholders on federal IT best practices and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- At least 5 years of specialized experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity within a federal or government environment.
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a Secret clearance.
- Deep knowledge of federal IT regulations, including FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST standards.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and system management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
