Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure software applications and database systems for state agencies.
- Conduct system performance analysis and implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure data integrity and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and system administrators.
- Manage and troubleshoot complex hardware and network infrastructure issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, system administration, or IT support.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL database management and web development frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
