Responsibilities
- Lead the design and deployment of enterprise-level IT solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure high availability and security.
- Oversee system administration for server environments, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery protocols are active.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues and provide high-level technical support.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate risks and comply with federal and state regulations.
- Mentor junior staff members, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Document technical processes and maintain up-to-date system configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network engineering within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Proven experience with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) and virtualization platforms.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCNP is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware components, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a background check and security clearance as required by the department.
