Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure and security protocols for state facilities in Fort Worth.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot critical issues, and implement disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and integrate new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal cybersecurity regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to safeguard sensitive government data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent military/technical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, systems engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCNP are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
