Responsibilities
- Manage and Secure IT Infrastructure: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and security of server environments and network systems to ensure 99.9% uptime for government operations.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols in compliance with federal and district regulations to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Remote Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and solutions for remote and on-site staff, resolving complex hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Project Management: Lead IT initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve service delivery.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all IT processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration or network engineering within a government or large enterprise setting.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent professional certifications are highly preferred.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
