Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and networks to support city-wide government functions.
- Analyze system performance data and recommend optimization strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local data security regulations and standards.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for end-users and departmental stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor junior IT staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and project status reports for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT analysis, system administration, or a related government technical role.
- Strong proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure), network security protocols, and database management.
- Experience with ITIL framework and government compliance standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to pass a background investigation required for government employment.
