Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications and databases for County systems.
- Analyze user requirements to translate them into technical specifications and system solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure project milestones are met on time.
- Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and debugging to ensure system reliability and security.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff and end-users across various County departments.
- Ensure all IT solutions comply with State and County cybersecurity policies and regulations.
- Document technical processes and create user manuals for system operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in software development, systems analysis, or IT project management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or SQL.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
