Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management for city-wide IT infrastructure upgrades
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, finance, and public works departments
- Manage project budgets exceeding $5M with strict compliance requirements
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure alignment with federal/state cybersecurity mandates and accessibility standards
- Stakeholder communication with city council members, department heads, and vendor partners
- Implement Agile methodologies for rapid deployment of public services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of IT project management experience in government/public sector
- PMP or PgMP certification required
- Proven track record managing complex infrastructure projects with budgets $1M+
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (Jira, MS Project)
- Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity frameworks and ADA compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders
