Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, time, and budget.
- Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership.
- Implement and monitor project plans using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Conduct regular status meetings and prepare detailed progress reports for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding IT projects.
- Recruit, mentor, and coach junior project management staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a government or large enterprise environment.
- PMP or PgMP certification is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities suitable for high-level stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
