Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of complex IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including technical teams, executive leadership, and external vendors, to define project requirements and success metrics.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial forecasting to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, creating contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, security standards, and procurement policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is required.
- Strong proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with a proven track record of leading hybrid teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for diverse audiences.
- Experience with project management software such as MS Project, Jira, or Asana.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
