Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management for multi-million dollar IT initiatives across state agencies
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (developers, analysts, vendors) to ensure deliverables meet state standards
- Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies while maintaining compliance with state procurement regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies for high-stakes public sector projects
- Report progress to executive stakeholders through dashboards and quarterly reviews
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to WA state security protocols and accessibility requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience managing IT projects in government or regulated industries
- PMP or PgMP certification required with active state procurement knowledge
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and enterprise resource planning systems
- Proven ability to manage budgets exceeding $500K with variance tracking
- Strong understanding of WA state IT policies and security frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across executive, technical, and vendor teams
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, and enterprise collaboration platforms
