Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycles for enterprise-scale IT initiatives across state departments
- Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines with strict adherence to state procurement regulations
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, vendors, and agency stakeholders
- Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure on-time delivery of complex systems
- Manage project risks and ensure compliance with Texas DIR and federal standards
- Present executive-level progress reports to state leadership and legislative committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive IT project management experience with 3+ years in government/public sector
- PMP, CSM, or PgMP certification required
- Expert knowledge of Texas DIR project management frameworks and procurement processes
- Proven success managing $1M+ IT budgets and cross-departmental initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in Jira, MS Project, and enterprise collaboration tools
- Strong understanding of FISMA compliance and state security protocols
