Role Overview:
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, and delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale IT projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all projects adhere to state compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, including executive leadership and technical teams.
- Monitor project budgets and forecast financial needs to ensure cost-efficiency.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP certification is highly desired.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and delivering projects on time and within scope.
